Marywood University Pacers

Marywood Athletic facilities are available for use, free of charge, to students, faculty and staff (with a valid Marywood identification card), except during intercollegiate games, team practices, or Department of Exercise Science classes and special events. Marywood's Athletic facilities can be rented by outside groups and organizations. For rental accommodations and pricing information for athletic facility rentals, please contact the Gavin Esham at GEsham@gourmetdiningllc.com.

The University's Center for Athletics and Wellness, a $14 million facility that opened in 2006, serves as the hub for intercollegiate athletics, wellness, fitness, recreation and intramurals. Designed to provide a first-class experience for student-athletes and the campus community, the facility features a state-of-the-art fitness center, elevated indoor running track, dance and aerobics studio, arena for Pacer Athletics, advanced athletic training spaces, and a Recovery Room powered by Hyperice.

The Lynett-Haggerty Family Fitness Center, a 5,000-square-foot facility within the Center for Athletics and Wellness, underwent a complete renovation during the summer of 2024. The project included the installation of all new Matrix strength and cardiovascular equipment, creating a modern training environment highlighted by a two-story rock-climbing wall.

The University's outdoor athletic facilities include six tennis courts, sand volleyball and basketball courts, nationally recognized baseball and softball facilities that have earned multiple awards, a natural grass competition field that has been extensively upgraded with laser leveling, a modern irrigation system, and an enhanced grass mixture to improve performance and playability, as well as a multi-purpose synthetic turf field that serves a variety of varsity, intramural, and recreational programs. 

During the summer of 2026, the University's lighted synthetic turf stadium received a comprehensive renovation, including the installation of new playing surface, a new scoreboard, an upgraded sound system, and a new press box with bleacher seating for nearly 400 spectators. The multipurpose facility serves numerous varsity athletic programs while also supporting campus recreation and intramural activities.

Opened in May 2011, the University's Aquatic Center is one of the premier competition pools in the region. The eight-lane facility features both 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, team rooms, a safety center, and a spectator viewing area, providing an outstanding venue for competition, training, and recreation.

The Center for Athletics and Wellness opened in the Fall of 2006.

The Insalaco Arena seats 1,500 spectators, has an elevated running track, a batting cage and can be divided into two full-sized courts for volleyball and basketball. The surface was redesigned in the summer of 2024 by Miller Sports Construction.




















The Marywood University Aquatics Center is one of the premier swimming and diving facilities in Northeast Pennsylvania, and home to the University's 15th and 16th intercollegiate teams-Men's Swimming and Diving and Women's Swimming and Diving. The facility also provides recreation and competitive opportunities for the campus community as well as regional schools and organizations.

The Hall of Fame/Conference Room on the second floor provides adequate meeting space and houses the Hall of Fame.



The Recovery Room, powered by Hyperice, was gifted to Marywood student-athletes by the Pacers Club. Student-athletes can reserve time in the recovery room through an online scheduling system. The Normatec 3 dynamic air compression system, the Hypervolt 2 percussion tool, the Vyper vibrating foam roller and the Hypersphere precision massage ball are engineered to enhance circulation, rejuvenate aching muscles, and mitigate pain, paving the way for peak performance every time. Pacers Athletics Field was renovated in the summer of 2009 to include an irrigation system. The men's and women's soccer teams, as well as the men's and women's lacrosse teams, use the field as both a practice and sometimes as a game venue. 

Marywood has a six court tennis facility that is open to staff and students. 

 

The baseball team plays home games overlooking the beautiful Pocono mountains. Marywood's baseball field was recognized as a 2016 Keystone Athletic Field Manager's Organization (KAFMO) Field of Distinction and was named the top college baseball field in the country by the Sports Turf Managers Association in 2016 as well.



The softball team plays home games overlooking the beautiful Pocono mountains as well. A new bullpen area was added down each foul line, and, along with the Marywood baseball field, was named the top college softball field in the country by the Sports Turf Managers Association in 2016. 



The athletics facility offers six locker rooms that house teams during their traditional seasons.
