Wayne, PA – For the first time in three years, Marywood University's men's soccer team will not take part in the Colonial States Athletic Conference's Championship match as the third seeded Pacers fell to host and second seed Rosemont College 4-1 Friday afternoon in one CSAC semifinal. Marywood (9-6-3) allowed two first half penalty kick goals and never recovered, and will now await word on a possible berth into the ECAC South Region tournament field which will be announced next Monday night or Tuesday morning.  Rosemont advances to Sunday's title game against either #1 Neumann or #4 Cabrini.

With little recovery time for Marywood after last evening's thrilling 3-2 overtime win over Centenary, Rosemont (11-7-1) grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a penalty kick in the early portions of the game.  A foul in the box at the 9:24 mark allowed Sergio Martinez to put home the penalty kick.  The Ravens then added another goal in the the run of play in the 33rd minute from the foot of Luke McIlvaine, and a second penalty kick six minutes later from Rodney Aguirre gave the hosts a 3-0 lead heading into intermission.

Rosemont wasted little time adding to their lead as the second half began as the Ravens scored in the 51st minute on a goal from Ryan Hartzell before a goal from Marywood's Timothy Kane made it 4-1.
